Midweek Meetup: Week of July 17

Prayer~

Dear Jesus, Sometimes I get tired of helping. I want to be selfish. I don’t care what happens to other people. But You ask more of me. Give me Your strength so I can keep seeking good, every day to every person I can. Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~ 

Getting along with our brothers and sisters in Christ can be a challenge, and the apostle Paul knew it as he wrote to the church in Corinth. Come find out his recipe for harmony this Sunday, as our Summer Mix Tape series continues. We welcome Maranatha Hoyt, singing, “In Christ Alone,” and commission our “True North” Vacation Bible School volunteers.

Meeting Friends ~ 

Our annual Picnic & Pool Party happens on Sunday, July 27th. Come to Pottery Park at 5:30 with a dish to share & a place setting (we’ll have extras if you need it). At 6:30, we’ll head over to the Wipeout.  Bring friends!  It’s a big pool–we’ve got plenty of room to share.

Sharing Hope ~ 

For anyone wishing to support the people affected by the flooding in Texas, we recommend Convoy of Hope. You may donate from their website at www.convoyofhope.org. They are assisting victims already and are a trusted mission partner. [The church will not be taking up a special offering at this time.]
