Midweek Meetup, Week of August 10

Aug 13, 2025

Verse of the Day~

“‘In those days and at that time

    I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David’s line;

    he will do what is just and right in the land.

In those days Judah will be saved

    and Jerusalem will live in safety.

This is the name by which it will be called:

    The Lord Our Righteous Savior.’” (Jeremiah 33:15-16)

Prayer~

Jesus, You were a promise God made to His people, and He kept the promise when You came to us in the fullness of time. God keeps promises. Give us patience to trust and wait. In Your name, Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~

Have you ever wondered why God asks His followers to live differently than the rest of the world? Our Summer Mix Tape series continues as we hear this Sunday from Paul’s Letter to Titus, and Pastor MJ’s teaching, “Why?”   Terry Miller, Rebecca Grantham, and Kate Pruyn will sing, "All Night, All Day."

Meeting Friends ~

What a great time we had worshiping at City Park on Sunday!  A big thanks to the Praise and Fellowship Teams for making the worship service and picnic lunch happen. Another big thanks to David Mackey for bringing a word of good news from his mission work in South Africa. Find the whole service on the church’s Facebook page.

Sharing Hope ~

Our middle and high school fellowships gather students from our church and communities. We are so grateful for the chance to share all about Jesus.  This fall, starting in September, the two groups will take turns meeting:  ELEVATE High School Fellowship on Sundays at 6:30 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month and AWESOME Middle School Fellowship on Sundays at 6:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. All are welcome.

Please note:  A Youth/Parent Meeting happens immediately following worship this Sunday, August 17. High school students & parents are encouraged to come and consider the possibility of a summer 2026 mission trip to New Mexico.
