Midweek Meetup: Week of December 3

Verse of the Day~

“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look! Here is the Messiah!’ or ‘There he is!’—do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and produce great signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.” (Matthew 24:23-24)

Prayer~

Jesus, There are so many things apart from You that hold our attention. The busy-ness of this season overcomes the beauty of the season, and we miss seeing You. In these days ahead, keep our hearts secure in the promise of Your salvation alone. Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~

On our Second Sunday in Advent, we celebrate the gift of God’s peace as “EverGreen: All Together” continues on Sunday at 10 a.m. We’ll celebrate the Lord’s Supper and enjoy special music from Kevin Beaber, giving us a preview of Sunday afternoon’s concert.

Meeting Friends ~

Speaking of the concert, join us on Sunday at 4 p.m. for Dean Rees in concert with Kevin Beaber and Jessica Bay, playing classical and contemporary selections in celebration of Christ’s birth.

Sharing Hope ~

Through our mission partner World Renew, we want to support sustainable farming in Kenya and beyond with this year's Christmas Offering. Our challenge: the whole barnyard! For $2515, World Renew provides a community with 10 goats, 8 pigs, 4 piglets, 25 ducks, 15 rabbits, 50 chickens, and 5 roosters, plus farmer training. Please donate throughout the month to fill the barnyard as we go!
